遵义医科大学珠海校区成立于2002年,当年即开始招收生物工程专业本科生。生物工程系成立于2007年,前身为生物工程教研室。经过多年的建设和发展,现有生物工程学院办公室、生物工程教研室、生物化学与细胞生物学教研室、化学教研室、药学教研室共五个部门。
一、师资队伍
生物工程学院现有教职工总数54人,其中专任教师48人,教授9人,副教授19人,高级实验师3人。具有博士学位教师35人,占教师比例的73%,硕士以上学历教师47人,占教师比例的98%。教师中有“全国万名优秀创新创业导师”1人、“贵州省优秀教师”1人、“贵州省优秀青年人才”1人、“贵州省千层次人才计划”1人、“贵州省创新创业人才”1人,“珠海市高层次人才”1人,“珠海市特聘学者”1人,硕士研究生导师10人。
二、 学科建设
2018年生物工程专业获批一级学科硕士授权点,从生物制药与材料工程、 细胞培养与代谢工程、 生物医药与信息工程三个研究方向进行硕士招生。生物工程系现有生物工程(生物技术与制药)和药学2个本科专业,每年招生一千余人;培养学生的专业发展以及学科方向的科研平台与珠海市以及大湾区优势产业发展契合度高。
三、实训与就业
目前共有实习基地45个,均为当地及周边生物医药领域的重点企业和研究所,可切实保障学生的实习及就业;目前本科生首次就业率超过95 %,研究生就业率达100%。
四、科学研究
生物工程系目前主要开展医药生物技术、肿瘤分子机制、发酵工程与生物制药、细胞免疫治疗、药物设计与合成、天然药物化学、分子药理学等研究方向。近5年来承担了国家自然科学基金15项,省级、地厅级项目共计80项,总计科研经费超过1100万元;共计发表论文180篇,其中SCI论文83篇,申请专利23项,参与编写各类教材、辅导材料14部。承担校级以上教改课题9项;指导学生参与各类创新创业比赛共计30余项,获国家级奖励4项、省级8项,其它20项。大学生创新课题60多项,其中国家级8项,省级15项,校级40多项。
五、理念与展望
生物工程系坚持立德树人,以生为本,潜心教育教学、科学研究、服务社会,承担本科生和研究生课程教学,注重学生综合素质培养,全面提高学生专业知识和能力。
Brief Introduction for School of Bioengineering in Zhuhai Campus of Zunyi Medical University
Zhuhai Campus of Zunyi Medical University was founded in 2002, and then the Department of Bioengineering was established in 2007 based on the former teaching and research section of bioengineering. The recruitments of undergraduates majoring in bioengineering have started since 2002. After years of construction and development, there have been five sections in the Department of bioengineering with the inclusion of the bioengineering department office, the bioengineering section, the biochemistry and cell biology section, the chemistry section and the pharmacy section.
1. Faculty
Up to now, there have been 54 faculty members in the Department of Bioengineering, including 48 full-time teachers, 9 professors, 19 associate professors and 3 senior experimentalists. There are 35 teachers with doctoral degree, accounting for 73% of teachers, 47 teachers with master’s degree or above, accounting for 98% of teachers. Among the teachers, there are one with "National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Tutor", one with "Guizhou Excellent Teacher", one with "Guizhou Excellent Young Talents", one with "Guizhou Thousand-level Talents Plan", one with "Guizhou Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talents", one with "Zhuhai High-level Talents", one with "Zhuhai Special Scholars" and 10 master student supervisors.
2. Discipline construction
In 2018, Our department was granted the authorization of master’s degree in the First-Level discipline of bioengineering with three research directions include biopharmaceutical and material engineering, cell culture and metabolic engineering, biomedicine and information engineering, respectively. Now there were two undergraduate majors with Bioengineering (Biotechnology and Pharmacy) and Pharmacy inclusive in the Department of Bioengineering. The research platform for training students' professional development and discipline orientation is highly compatible with the development of Zhuhai's advantageous industries.
3. Practical training and Employment
At present, there are 45 practice bases for our department to ensure students' practice and employment and the first employment rate of undergraduates and graduates are 95% above 100%, respectively.
4. Scientific Research
The Department of Bioengineering is now mainly engaged in the research fields of pharmaceutical biotechnology, molecular mechanism of cancer, fermentation engineering and biopharmaceuticals, cellular immunotherapy, drug design and synthesis, natural pharmaceutical chemistry, molecular pharmacology, etc. Over the past five years, Department of Bioengineering has undertaken 15 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, 80 projects at provincial and prefectural levels, with a total research expenditure of more than 11 million yuan. A total of 180 papers have been published, including 83 SCI papers, 23 patents, and 14 textbooks and tutorial materials. In addition, the Department of Bioengineering has undertaken 9 educational reform projects at or above the school level, guided students to participate in various innovation and entrepreneurship competitions totally over 30 items, and has won 4 national awards, 8 provincial awards and 20 other items. Furthermore, in Department of Bioengineering, there also have been more than 60 innovative projects for university students, including 8 at the national level, 15 at the provincial level and more than 40 at the school level.
5. Concepts and Prospects
The Department of Bioengineering adheres to the principle of cultivating people by establishment of high moral values and is always student oriented. Our department will devote ourselves to education, teaching, scientific researching and serving the society. Moreover, through undertaking the courses teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate, Department of Bioengineering will always pay attentions to the cultivation of students' comprehensive quality, thus leading to improve students’ professional knowledge and ability in an all-round way.
